This is such a simple and delicious side to add to almost anything. Not sure where it came from but it’s so easy that we’re sure it came from somewhere and everyone is doing it.
For 2-4 people, as a side dish, you’ll need x2 heads of broccoli (broken into florets), 2 Tbsp soy sauce and 2 Tbsp + 1 Tbsp sesame oil.
In a large bowl toss together the broccoli florets, soy sauce and x2 Tbsp of sesame oil. Make sure all the veggies are covered well. Set aside for 15 mins or 2 hours.
In a large skillet or, preferably, a stove top wok heat the further x1 Tbsp sesame oil over medium high heat. Once oil is heated add the broccoli, but BE CAREFUL as it will spatter.
Toss the broccoli often and well, allowing to sit for only a few minutes before tossing again. Broccoli will begin to brown on the edges – about 5-8 minutes. Continue to toss until florets are still firm but not hard – approximately 10 total minutes.
Serve in the large bowl you originally tossed them in.
